Rafael Marinelli has been a Licensed Acupuncturist since 2007. He received his Master’s degree in Oriental Medicine at the Touro College of Health Sciences. There he received a rigorous training in acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine and interned in both the clinical and hospital settings.
Rafael has attended advanced seminars in Chinese Medical Massage (Tui Na) and Sports Medicine. These seminars have shaped the way he practices especially with conditions involving musculoskeletal injuries and pain. He provides a balanced approach of acupuncture along with other Chinese medical treatment modalities while, at the same time, educating patients on how to stay healthy with exercises and proper dietary habits.
In addition to treating musculoskeletal pain, Rafael treats other forms of pain such as headaches and sinus pain. Stress, sleep disorders and digestive issues are other examples of the kind of conditions he treats. Rafael encourages those who want to live a healthy and balanced lifestyle to try acupuncture and explore its benefits as a preventative medicine as well.
Rafael constantly strives to obtain more knowledge and skills to improve his ability to help his patients. He is currently pursuing his Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Mercy College and hopes to use what he learns in school to enhance his ability to provide excellent patient care.
